The 2023 Midlands PROPS Awards shortlist has been revealed, selected by the Board of judges for their outstanding qualities.

It’s been cold, cold, cold so what could be more appropriate than some exciting activities at the Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre on the edge of Bournemouth. On a lovely sunny morning, 25 children, aged seven to ten from Bethany Junior School in Boscombe, had a fantastic time ski-bobbing and ringo-ing down artificial snow slopes at the facility in Matchams Lane.

Musicians from around the world joined together for a four-day livestream on the streaming platform, Twitch, raising much-needed funds for Variety International.

Variety corporate partner, Travis Perkins properties department, hosted a quiz night that raised an incredible £9000 towards a Variety Sunshine Coach.

Generous pantomime goers have given more than £5,000 to Variety The Children’s Charity via bucket collections in Bournemouth and Ferndown.

Father Christmas was the special guest at a fantastic Christmas party at the Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth, for 90 children from Bethany Junior School in Boscombe.

A fire engine with its blue lights flashing and its siren sounding, skills games and dressing up in fire fighters’ uniforms made a visit to Springbourne Fire Station a real winner.

Nearly 200 excited children from Bethany School in Boscombe followed the Yellow Brick Road to Ferndown’s Barrington Theatre to see The Wizard Of Oz. This Christmas pantomime adventure was organised by the Wessex branch of Variety The Children’s Charity.
