Donating or fundraising in someone’s memory is a very special and meaningful way to remember them. It’s also a lovely way of creating a lasting tribute and letting their kindness live on. We’re always incredibly touched and grateful to receive these donations.

How can I make a donation to Variety in memory of a loved one?
  • Our user-friendly online system lets you donate with your card. Once we receive a notification of your kind donation, we will be delighted to send you a thank you letter.
  • You could send us a cheque by post. It would be helpful if you could enclose a note explaining the nature of the donation and your address, so that we can send you a letter to confirm your kind gift – and, of course, to thank you. The cheque should be payable to ‘Variety, the Children’s Charity’ and sent to our address:

    Variety, the Children’s Charity
    93 Bayham Street
    LONDON
    NW1 0AG

  • You could donate over the phone. Please call us on 020 7428 8100 and have your card ready. After we have taken the donation, we may ask for your details in order to acknowledge your kind gift.
  • Sometimes funeral directors will collect donations on your behalf and send them directly to us. Variety is registered with Memory Giving which provides funeral directors with an easy and simple solution to handling charitable donations. Find out more.

Collect at a funeral or memorial

If you’re holding an in-person service, we can provide you with donation envelopes.

Create a memory page tribute fund

Create an online memorial page to celebrate your loved one, where you can share photos and memories and light virtual candles on special anniversaries. This page can be set up at any time, and can stay open for as long as you want it to. MuchLoved is a well-known tribute website service.

Take on a challenge

Take part in a challenge in memory of your loved one. This could be a walk, a run or a personal challenge. You could do it on your own or with a group of friends or family.
