Once again Variety Scotland is producing ‘Young Variety’ on Sunday April 29th at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall – a spectacular showcase of up-and-coming young stars of Scotland’s showbiz world.

We have gathered together some of Scotland’s top stars of the future – brilliant youngsters giving their time and their talent to help raise funds for their less fortunate counterparts and this year, X Factor finalists The Risk will be joining the cast for a very special guest performance.

Derry, Charlie, Ashford and Ayrshire lad Andy Merry are making their first appearance in Scotland since the X Factor tour – and it’s all for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

For Andy, this is like coming home – for many reasons. He was due to appear in the Young Variety show in 2007, but had to pull out just days beforehand because of a throat infection.

For some of our budding performers, this is a dream come true. For others, who have already appeared on stages in London, New York and even Eurodisney, this is another step on the ladder to surefire success.

The show will include solo singers and musicians, the cream of Scotland’s choral and dance groups – even an award-winning teenage magician and a ten-year-old comedienne – as they take another step to superstardom.

The show is produced once again by broadcaster and Barker Angus Simpson, who has assembled prestigious production and technical teams with decades of experience in Scottish theatre to ensure it is a show in a million.
