Variety mourns the loss of Celebrity Ambassador Tom O’Connor
Variety is deeply saddened by the passing of Tom O’Connor, a veteran British comedian and television game show host.
He was a treasured Variety supporter and true friend to us, hosting many of our events in his role as a Celebrity Ambassador. Most notably, he fronted The PROPS Awards, a long-standing Variety event that recognises excellence in the property industry, for several years running. Tom was also a hugely entertaining participant in many other Variety activities over the years.
As tributes to the legendary man pour in from around the country, the Variety community remembers, with great fondness, Tom’s kindness and unfailing ability to raise a smile. He was a pleasure to have in the Variety ‘family’, and will be a great loss to all of us.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
