“This is the best day of my life. I am so happy,” said young Craig summing up his experience of the Lord Mayor’s Show.

The Lord Mayor’s Show is 798 years old and makes our super kids Stars for the day, with the crowds waving and cheering them along the route as well as giving the children a day out they never forget, whilst raising awareness of Variety and Sunshine Coaches.

Our 10th year of entry found us in the middle of this pageantry and the children were as always totally amazing, marching from London Wall to Embankment and back, singing, dancing and high-fiving the whole route!
An outstanding moment was the standing ovation and applause from Mansion House and the Aldermen when the Youngset performed a choreographed piece for the new Lord Mayor.

A huge THANK YOU to all who represented Variety, the Children’s Charity, in the Lord Mayor’s Show on Saturday 10th November 2012 in the City of London: the effervescent Youngset featuring Clowns : Andrew, Kyle, Liam, and Alfie; Charlie, the fabulous Stilt Walker, and Tyler on his Unicycle. (Tyler Fagan (12) completed the Three Peaks and raised over £1200 for Variety); and children from Bradfields and Meadowfields Schools supported by Ray, Teresa, Roy and Kate, their teachers.

Thank you to Fiat and to the wonderful team of Chief Barker Keith, Sue, past Chief Barkers Norman, Malcolm, and Ken, with Vee, Bill, Sue, Alan, George, Pennie and Mr Sunshine from Variety for their untiring support over the years.
