The Willows School in Rotherham has taken delivery of a brand new Variety Sunshine Coach which was presented to the school by the Evans family, long-time supporters of the children’s charity. Willows school has 82 pupils from the age of seven up to sixteen years old who have a range of learning difficulties, including speech and language, ASD and some emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Rachael Booth, head of maths at the school said:

“This is our second sunshine coach and a welcome replacement for our old one. The coach opens up a world of opportunities for our pupils. As well as outings we use it for a wide range of activities including accessing GCSE courses at local colleges. We are grateful to Variety and the Evans family who made us feel very welcome at their Leeds office (Evans Property Group) where the presentation took place..”

Speaking on behalf of the Evans family, Andreas Evans, said:

It is clear the work Variety does to help disadvantaged children makes a substantial difference to the experiences and quality of life these children enjoy, We at Evans Group and the Evans family itself count our blessings to be in a position to help Variety in its endeavours.”
