50 children from various special needs schools around London were invited to attend a Mad Hatters themed party at the Clore Centre in Hampton Court Palace. The day started by making Tudor hats and followed with dancing where students and teachers grooved to the latest music showing off their dance moves.

After a relaxing picnic lunch supported by Soho Sandwiches in the beautiful palace gardens, the party continued with lots of fun games.

The day ended with all the children receiving a goody bag from Variety.

“What a wonderful day out during the last week of term where each and every child enjoyed everything about the day.

Pupils sometimes find the end of the academic year difficult, but this event ensured all pupils were so happy during the last week, where activities after were built upon the Hampton Court Palace summer fun.

Variety, the Children’s Charity provides so many new, exciting and enriching opportunities for our pupils – Thank you so much from everyone at Clarendon”.

These amazing experiences are provided free for children from special needs schools thanks to the generosity of our corporate partners and the willingness and dedication of our volunteers.
