Variety, the Children’s Charity, for the third year held a prestigious black tie dinner, “Legends of Industry Awards” at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester on Thursday, 24th October 2013.

Variety, the Children’s Charity, recognizes that there are many unsung leading ladies and gentlemen who have surpassed all expectations in their chosen fields of business and industry.

This year’s recipients of the “Legends of Industry Awards” are:

Eamonn Holmes (Television broadcaster, and presenter of This Morning), Joe Calzaghe CBE, MBE (Boxing/Sport Industry), Phil Jones (Managing Director, Brother UK), Sheila Ferguson for Music, Lynda de la Plante CBE Literary, Andrew Collinge (British Hairdressing Industry), and John Kennedy CBE, KSG, KMCO, DL, (Construction Industry) .

The Award Ceremony was hosted by Granada Televisions Paul Crone and guests enjoyed a sumptuous three course dinner followed by fantastic entertainment, by the hilarious comic Josh Daniels, and the Singing Waiters

The most senior person of Variety, the Children’s Charity, the Chief Barker, Mr Laurence Davis presented the recipients with their “Legends of Industry Award.”

All funds raised on the night will benefit sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in the North West region.

Variety’s “Legends of Industry Awards” is an annual event not to be missed on the corporate calendar and we are truly looking forward to the “Legends of Industry Awards” in 2014.
