There was sunshine all day and they had an amazing time going on a variety of exciting rides and time watching the penguins play.

Peppa Pig World provided rides particularly suitable for the young pupils, but they also enjoyed a spin on a big carousel and finally braved the Caterpillar Rollercoaster and, although initially they were a little uncertain about going on it, they decided it was their favourite part of the day!

Tanya Shenton, parent support worker and deputy designated safeguarding leader, at St Clements, said:

Most of the children had not been to Paultons Park before and keep saying that it was their best day ever and want to go back again soon. The majority of the group were young carers and for one of the little girls the trip actually fell on her birthday! Thank you so much again for giving our children this opportunity.

Frances Cornelius, chair of Variety Wessex, said:

Thank you everyone who donated at the Bournemouth and Ferndown Pantomime’s during December which paid for this trip and thank you Paultons Park for a wonderful day for the children.
