Sunshine Coach Programme Manager and School Engagement Lead

Variety is looking for an experienced programme manager with logistics and sales experience to join our service delivery team.

Over the past two years Variety has successfully procured and delivered 150 Variety Sunshine Coaches to SEND and mainstream schools as well as children's and youth organisations all over the UK at a cost of almost £5million. As the Programme Manager, you will be principally responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of the programme in line with our ambitious growth targets. This includes managing a caseload of applications for support, providing excellent customer service to our applicants, administering our decision-making committee, ordering vehicles and co-ordinating the order and delivery schedules with our external suppliers. As the Schools Engagement Lead for the department you will also lead on designing and delivering marketing and sales campaigns with schools in order to drive up engagement with all of our grant-giving programmes.

You will have experience of working in logistics, be highly organised and have an excellent eye for detail. You will also have experience of engaging with schools, designing and delivering marketing campaigns and developing monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks. You will need excellent interpersonal skills and be adept at managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the needs of our fundraising team and sponsors are met. Ideally you'll also have experience of working with committees and volunteers too. You'll need to be passionate about supporting disabled and disadvantaged children, be able to remain calm under pressure and be skilled at multi tasking.

Grants Coordinator (North West of England)

  • 12 month contract, 17.5 hours per week
  • Salary £21k, pro rata
  • Based in Manchester

Variety is looking for an experienced administrator to join our service delivery team and support our grant-giving programmes across the North West of England.

Each year our grant-giving programmes deliver £400,000 of assistive technology and accessible transport to disabled children, their families and the organisations who support them. As a Grants Coordinator you will be principally responsible for the successful delivery of all of our grants across Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseryside and Staffordshire. This includes managing a caseload of applications for support, providing excellent customer service to our applicants and working closely with our Committees to ensure that each application is assessed fully and in line with our procedures. You will liaise with healthcare professionals and suppliers and be actively involved in marketing Variety's grant-giving programmes. As a member of the North West team you will also be involved in our fundraising work, providing administrative and logistical support to ensure our fundraising staff and events are well supported.

You will have experience of working in administration and customer service, have an exceptional telephone manner, pay close attention to detail and be highly organised. Ideally you will have experience of working with committees and minute-taking as well as some experience of working with databases. You will be passionate about supporting disabled children, a pro-active team player and able to remain calm under pressure.
