Grants Coordinator

  • Salary: 24k, pro rata

Variety, the Children’s Charity seeks a highly organised Grants Coordinator to join its London delivery team. The post holder will manage a caseload of applications as part of Variety’s grant-giving programmes.

We are looking for an experienced administrator who has a track record of providing excellent customer service to manage applications for our Wheelchair Grants programme. The post holder will be able to manage key stakeholder relationship with committee members, suppliers and applicants while maintaining accurate records and working on multiple cases simultaneously.

Variety Great Days Out Events Coordinator

  • Salary: 24k, pro rata
  • Role: 21 hours per week, permanent

Variety, the Children’s Charity seeks a highly organised and experienced Events Coordinator to join its London delivery team. The post holder will lead Variety’s Great Days Out Programme across the South of England, providing memorable experiences for over 5000 children & young people.

We are looking for an experienced and creative events administrator who ideally has hands on experience of working with children in an inclusive setting. Able to manage the delivery of small scale events from concept to completion, the post holder will also manage key relationships with venues, sponsors, schools & activity providers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make a difference with disabled and disadvantaged children alongside developing their own skills in events.

Senior Events Manager

Variety, the Children's Charity are recruiting a Senior Events Manager to join their fast paced, exciting events team. The Senior Events Manager is integral to the delivery of the charity's events and will take direct responsibility for managing events that continue to raise vital funds for the charity and engage with a new audience. 

The post holder will have the opportunity to lead on high net worth special events while working alongside event committees to maximise event fundraising.

Events Executive

  • Salary: 17k - 21k

The Variety Yorkshire office seeks an energetic, dedicated and highly organised individual to join the team to support the delivery of a busy schedule of events.

The role is primarily located at the Variety Leeds office but the successful candidate will be required to work some evenings and weekends to deliver on site support at events. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience of working in a professional office as well as fundraising and marketing skills. A qualification in event management is preferred but not essential, most importantly we will be looking for a candidate who has excellent attention to detail, is eager to learn and has a strong work ethic. Variety delivers a range of fundraising and children's events such as award ceremonies, black-tie galas, sporting events and children's fun days. 

Variety will give you the opportunity to achieve:

  • Hands-on experience of working as part of the events and fundraising function within an established Children’s Charity. 
  • Administrative support for the Yorkshire Development Director. 
  • Make a difference to disadvantaged children. 
  • Proactively carve out a role within the Variety’s Yorkshire Office, whilst also ensuring that the team is supported to deliver their objectives. 
  • Use your creativeness and see the direct impact of your ideas. 
  • Attend all events such as the Yorkshire Property Awards and the Crystal Ball.

Volunteer Gold Hearts Coordinator, West Midlands

Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help the Midlands Regional Fundraising Team. 

Variety is dedicated to supporting children and young people across the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged by providing Sunshine coaches and wheelchairs to taking children on amazing days out through its Variety Great Days Out programme. As a Volunteer Gold Hearts Coordinator you will support the Fundraising Manager within the Midlands region to raise awareness and funds for the charity by placing and managing boxes of Gold Heart Badges within businesses in your local community.

As a Variety volunteer, you will be given the opportunity to work on a number of rewarding projects, meet some new people and of course, gain some fantastic work experience.

Training and previous experience is not a requirement, but good communication, organisation skills and a regular commitment is. There are no set hours or days but whatever time you are able to give will make a huge difference to the charity and the children and young people whom we support. The Charity is also able to offer reasonable travel expenses.
