Events Executive

  • Based in Leeds
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Salary £17,500 per annum

The Variety Yorkshire office seeks an energetic and highly organised individual to join the team to support the delivery of a busy schedule of events.  The role is primarily located at the Variety Leeds office but the successful candidate will be required to work some evenings and weekends to deliver on-site support at events.  This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience of working in a professional office as well as fundraising and marketing skills. The ideal candidate will have completed a qualification in events management and have gained some work experience supporting events.  Variety delivers a range of fundraising and children’s events such as black-tie galas, professional networking lunches, sporting events and children’s fun days.

Finance And Programmes Administrator

  • Based in Leeds
  • Part-time, 21 hours (work pattern negotiable)
  • Salary £24,000 - £26,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

The Variety Yorkshire office seeks an experienced and highly competent administrator with a sound knowledge of book-keeping (ideally relevant qualifications or experience using accounting software packages). This is a wide-ranging and demanding role with multiple responsibilities so the candidate must be a strong multi-tasker and self-starter. 

The role is responsible for the management of all finance transactions in the Region, management of the grant applications process and general oversight of the day to day operations of the Leeds office, supporting the Regional Development Director. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in similar finance-related roles and have strong customer service skills. They must have excellent written and spoken English and be a confident communicator. They will be liaising with the Charity’s beneficiaries (primarily parents and schools) and must show professionalism and discretion at all times.

Volunteer Gold Hearts Coordinator, West Midlands

Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help the Midlands Regional Fundraising Team. 

Variety is dedicated to supporting children and young people across the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged by providing Sunshine coaches and wheelchairs to taking children on amazing days out through its Variety Great Days Out programme. As a Volunteer Gold Hearts Coordinator you will support the Fundraising Manager within the Midlands region to raise awareness and funds for the charity by placing and managing boxes of Gold Heart Badges within businesses in your local community.

As a Variety volunteer, you will be given the opportunity to work on a number of rewarding projects, meet some new people and of course, gain some fantastic work experience.

Training and previous experience is not a requirement, but good communication, organisation skills and a regular commitment is. There are no set hours or days but whatever time you are able to give will make a huge difference to the charity and the children and young people whom we support. The Charity is also able to offer reasonable travel expenses.

Variety is dedicated to supporting children and young people across the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged by providing Sunshine coaches and wheelchairs to taking children on amazing days out through its Variety Great Days Out programme.

Supporting the Regional Fundraising Manager, tasks will include researching various groups and organisations as well as keeping an up to date record of their contact details.
