Stef Reid MBE

Stef Reid MBE is a World Champion long jumper, four-time Paralympian, triple Paralympic medallist and award-winning broadcaster. After losing her right foot in a boating accident at 15, she rebuilt her life to become one of Britain’s most successful Paralympic athletes.

Today, she is one of the UK’s leading keynote speakers on resilience, adaptability and high performance, combining elite sporting experience with powerful storytelling and practical strategies to help individuals and organisations thrive through change and uncertainty. 

Alice Evans 

Alice joins the panel through her role on the ParalympicsGB Social Impact Lived Experience Advisory Board, where she helps ensure disabled people’s voices are represented in shaping their social impact initiatives. Bringing both professional expertise and lived experience, Alice is passionate about the power of sport to create positive change and greater inclusion.

Alongside this, she works as a Strategic Partnerships Advisor at Activity Alliance, building partnerships and sharing expertise that help make sport and physical activity more accessible and equitable for disabled people across the nation.  

Ali Oliver 

Ali is the Chief Executive at the Youth Sport Trust, an independent charity devoted to building a brighter future for young people through the power of sport.  

Ali joined the Youth Sport Trust in 2004 as a member of the senior leadership team and became the CEO in 2016. Prior to this Ali was the Deputy Director of Sport at the University of Bath having joined as the course leader for the Physical Education Initial Teacher Training programme. Before this Ali was Head of PE at Millfield School, having started her career as teacher in Essex.   

Ali is a Trustee of the ‘Youth United Foundation’ and sits on the Board of the ‘Sport for Development Coalition’ and sports committee of the HMC.  

In 2019 Ali received an honorary doctorate of the University of Bath. She was recognized as the Best Leader (not for profit category) in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies in 2020, and in the same year was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.  

Andrew Douglass

Andrew is the Founder and Chief Executive of Parallel, a disability lifestyle brand that operates as a social enterprise. His work includes Parallel Windsor, the largest disability festival in the UK and Purple Sock Day, a national mass participation campaign which generates grant-funding for disabled entrepreneurs. 

He is also the Co-Founder of We Are Innovision, an event production and experiential marketing agency which has been at the forefront of mega-sporting events, including the Paralympic and Olympic movements, for almost 30 years. 

Andrew is also a Board Director of the Berkshire Local Visitor Economic Partnership and an Ambassador for Meaningful Business. 

Dr Kush Kanodia 

Dr Kush Kanodiais an internationally recognised disability rights leader, systems changemaker and Honorary Doctor of Science. Drawing on his lived experience as a disabled person, he has dedicated his career to advancing accessibility and inclusion in sport. Kush helped led landmark reforms to improve accessibility standards across Premier League football stadiums, was honored as a London 2012 Paralympic Torchbearer, and serves as a Director and Trustee of AccessibAll.

He is also a member of the ParalympicsGB Lived Experience Advisory Board and has been invited to judge the World Football Summit Awards in Madrid, championing inclusion, equity and excellence in disability sport. 

Matt Elkington 

I am passionate about ensuring sport is as accessible and inclusive as possible for everyone, particularly disabled people and those living with long-term health conditions. Throughout my career, I have worked across a range of sports, including football and, currently, tennis. In my current role, I oversee the Open Court programme, which supports inclusive tennis delivery at more than 850 venues across the UK and enables over 17,000 disabled people to pick up a racket each summer. 

I am delighted to be part of this panel and to support Variety’s work in recognising and celebrating the positive impact of disability sport. Variety is an organisation I greatly value working with, and I look forward to contributing to this important event. 

Nick Goldup

Nick Goldup is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the Wheelchair Alliance CIC, where he leads the organisation’s mission to improve wheelchair provision and ensure the voices of wheelchair users are heard at a national level, growing the organisation to reach circa 250k wheelchair users through 40 charity partners, and growing.

With 15 years of leadership experience in the charity sector, including senior roles at the MND Association and Whizz-Kidz, Nick has extensive expertise in disability, mobility and healthcare. He works closely with wheelchair users, policymakers, government, peers, the NHS and industry partners to drive positive change, champion innovation and influence policy so that everyone has access to the right wheelchair, at the right time.
