Christmas came early for 150 excited youngsters from Bournemouth all thanks to Variety The Children’s Charity. The children, aged from two to twelve, from Bethany and St. Clements Schools in Boscombe, Linwood Special School in Winton and ‘Best for Care’ nursery in Queens Park enjoyed a fabulous Christmas party at The Marsham Court Hotel.

Father Christmas was there, of course, and gave each child a specially created bag of presents that suited their age and interests. Entertainment was provided by Krazy Kev who amused and delighted with magic tricks and crazy antics.

Frances Cornelius, chair of Variety Wessex said: “These children, who often do not have the opportunity for parties or outings, truly had a wonderful time. Thank you Matthew Fleming-Duffy and the Foresters who funded the wonderful presents for each child, Ian Woolley from Quiz Britain for funds for the delicious food, Laguna coaches for their on-going support bringing children to our events, everyone at the Marsham Court for making this a very special party, Krazy Kev for your wonderful entertainment and Lorraine, Judy, Avril, Jenny and Christine from the Variety Wessex committee for working so hard on the day. A special thank you too to Father Christmas who spent time with each child, at this, his busiest time of year.”
