Variety, the Children’s Charity has been chosen as the charity for ‘Liverpool’s Summer Village’ that is taking place down at the Pier Head throughout the summer, starting on the 30th June and ending in September.

Thousands of people will soon descend upon the summer village which has pop up bars, fair ground attractions, relax and play areas, food stalls etc. It is an amazing place to have a great day or night out with the family.

Each sunday in August, Simon O Rourke, the tree sculpture, will be carving the four Beatles with a chain saw from a full tree. Simon is renowned for his art work and on the first Sunday, Simon will create Paul McCartney, followed by John, George and Ringo. This is a unique one and only collection to be made.

At the end of August, the four Beatles sculptures will be going into a global auction which will take place after the sculptures have been on display in a prominent area in the city for one week for all to see and admire. All proceeds from the auction, which is an unknown figure will go to support sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in Merseyside.
