Variety Scotland reached a milestone on St Andrews night in Glasgow when it became 40 years young! Over 400 supporters danced into the wee small hours to an incredible array of entertainers from swinging along to Jim McMail, foot tapping to bagpipe rock band Bags of Rock and boogieing to Soulfeeva and Gangsters of Groove!

A fabulous raffle, silent auction and main auction handled by the master himself, Willie Allan. A magnificent cheque for £27,000 was presented to Variety Scotland by Tessie Fraser in memory of her grandmother Tessa Fraser, a former Vice Chair of the charity in Scotland.

Over £50k was raised on the night and over 400 toys donated. The Chief Barker Laurence Davis commented, ” What a night, just terrific, made me feel very proud”
