Variety Rocks is a chance for our corporate supporters to show off the musical talent of their employees by putting together a band to compete for the best band trophy, all while helping to improve the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the UK.

After a night of fantastic music and entertainment, Swing2Soul were crowned the winners of Variety, the Children’s Charity’s ‘Battle of the Corporate Bands’ for the second year in a row. The winners received a full day in the exclusive Red Suite Studio, nestled at the heart of Tileyard London – Europe’s largest professional music community.

The evening kicked off with a performance from Hot Fondu, followed by Brickwork, and Swing2Soul.

The winner was chosen by our brilliant panel of judges, including Dilly Kitchlew-Williamson, Trustee, former Variety Chief Barker and event co-chair. She was joined by Chris Jerome, keyboard player/pianist who has worked with acts including Tom Jones and Sister Sledge.

We were thrilled to be joined by Variety ambassador and singer Raquel Reno, who wowed the audience, and DJ Danny Rampling who entertained throughout the night. Headline act Michelle John sang the house down with her rendition of Purple Rain and I’m Every Woman.

The night was hosted by drag queen SOPHIE, who held the highly anticipated live auction, including the grand prize of a FIAT 500 DolceVita, generously donated by Northern Commercials.
