On Thursday, 26th March, Variety Wessex, raised in excess of £550 in an appeal for life changing special equipment for a local child by holding a Quiz night at the Riviera Hotel in Alum Chine for over 62 guests.

Quizmaster for the evening was Pinnacle Training’s Managing Director and Variety Committee member, Barry Smith who put together ten rounds of questions on ten different topics.

The winning team ‘Strangers in the Night’ went away with the first prize of £50. West Hants Team ‘Diamond Dogs’ came second and the ‘booby’ prize of a collection of Easter eggs went to ‘Mental Blanks’.

Chair of Variety Wessex, Frances Cornelius remarked that there were only a few points difference between all ten teams and several teams were equal in the individual rounds.

A big thanks to all the teams, the staff at the Riviera Hotel and to those who helped make this a very successful evening.
