On Thursday, 27th April The House Beauty Spa hosted another of its successful book club events, this time at the Radisson Blu Liverpool with two bestselling crime authors Rachel Abbott and Daniel Cole whilst raising funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity in Merseyside.

All 120 Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception and enjoyed a two-course meal and a House Beauty Spa goody bag which included a Guinot gift set and two personally signed books from the authors.

The guests had some surprise entertainment when local soprano Danielle Lloyd sang Nessun Dorma, followed by Jazz singer Connie Lush who sang an acapella favourite.

Rachel Abbott and Daniel Cole gave an insight into what it takes to be a successful author writing heart-stopping thrillers followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

The House Beauty Spa operate two beautiful urban day spas in Allerton and Childwall in South Liverpool, offering luxury beauty treatments. Their book club has gathered momentum over the years and past authors who have visited include Judy Finnegan, Martina Cole and Lynda La Plante to name but a few and has raised many thousands of pounds for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

The next book club event will be an audience with Judy Murray, mother of world champion tennis player Andy Murray. Judy will be talking about her new book ‘Knowing the Score’ on 13th June at the Marquee at Liverpool Cricket Club.
