The legendary British Boxing Champion Ricky Hatton featured the charity’s logo in the centre of the canvas during his fight against Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko, at the Manchester Arena on 24th November 2012, in a unique and amazing gesture in tribute to the charity’s work.

On November 1st 2012, the former WBA (Super) World Champion, IBF, IBO Light Welterweight World Champion and WBA Welterweight Champion was honoured with the prestigious ‘Legend of Industry Award’ by Variety, the Children’s Charity.

Ricky Hatton said:

“I wanted to express my gratitude to Variety for honouring me with the Legend Award for Sport. I have great respect for how the charity supports children and young adults in the North West and my aim is to raise awareness of the amazing work that they do by giving their logo prime position in the ring!”

The fight was aired on Primetime in the UK at 7pm GMT and Showtime in America at 5pm ET/PT.
