Staff and pupils at The New Rush Hall School were excited to receive their replacement Sunshine Coach which has been sponsored by Leeds Building Society.

The New Rush Hall School is a special school for children and young people aged 5 to 16 years who are experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The new Variety Sunshine Coach will offer these pupils the opportunity to experience the outside world in a safe and secure way through a number of trips and activities. The coach will be used on school days and for during afterschool and holiday clubs.

Head Teacher of The New Rush Hall School said:

“We are hugely grateful for the donation of the specialised Sunshine Coach from Variety and Leeds Building Society. This donation means a great deal to the children of the school. The Sunshine Coach will enable them to experience the same opportunities as their class mates.”

Amanjit Kaur, Leeds Building Society’s branch manager in Barkingside, said:

“We are delighted to make this donation and support Variety and The New Rush Hall School. As a building society, we are owned by our members and are pleased to support good causes in the communities where we and our members live and work.”

This is the final Sunshine coach to be presented in 2016 and is the 5424th donated to schools throughout the UK since 1962 when the Sunshine Coach Programme started in UK.
