DPD is celebrating 30 years of corporate partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity. They recently reached a milestone in their charitable giving as they donated their 80th Sunshine Coach to Parkhill Secondary School. The Glasgow school caters to secondary school pupils with Additional Learning Needs, including Autism and ADHD.

The Sunshine Coach will be used daily by the school to support students’ learning outside of the classroom. With 80 coaches donated by DPD, the delivery company has helped countless children to explore the world around them, build social skills, and prepare for adult life.

Elaine Kerr, DPD’s CEO, commented: “DPD has worked with Variety now for 30 years and we’re delighted to continue supporting the amazing work they do – it’s a charity very close to all our hearts which is why we’ve donated 80 coaches to date.

“These coaches make an incredible difference and it gives us all enormous pleasure to handover the keys to such deserving causes like Parkhill School.”

Parkhill’s coach will be used daily for school trips, access to swimming facilities and venues in Glasgow City, residential trips, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Dynamic Youth Awards, social trips, and school competitions including football and cross country.
