Natalie Livingstone donated the funds for a 17-seater Sunshine Coach at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards in late 2022. The awards ceremony celebrated showbusiness stars including Katherine Jenkins OBE, Simon Cowell, and Naomi Campbell, while also commemorating 100 years of the BBC.

Clare Mount Specialist Sports College received their brand new coach at a presentation. They were joined by Lyn Staunton, Development Director of the North West, from Variety, the Children’s Charity, who had the opportunity to meet pupils and learn more about how their new coach will enhance their education.

Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a secondary special educational needs school for students with Autism and/or Specific & Moderate Learning Difficulties. Their new Sunshine Coach will allow their pupils to continue learning outside the classroom as they explore their local area and develop their social skills, experiences, and confidence. Lillian Neill, Assistant Headteacher at Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, said:

We are delighted with our brand new Variety Sunshine Coach, which we took delivery of in November. At Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, we place enormous value on Learning Outside the Classroom; this includes some of our students going to work experience settings all over the Wirral, students attending various sporting events and students helping others in the local community. Having the new coach gives all of our students the opportunity to take part in these valuable experiences, and enhances their sense of achievement and well-being. Thank you!
