A New Adventure Begins

The Seashell Trust, based in the North West, is a renowned national charity supporting children and young people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and additional communication needs. Through specialist education at Royal School Manchester, Royal College Manchester, and its 17 residential homes, the Trust provides holistic care and empowering support to children and families.
This new Sunshine Coach is more than just transport – it’s a lifeline. It will open doors to the world beyond the school gates, enabling children to attend medical appointments, take part in educational visits, experience new environments, and support their families with respite care and community events.
Emma Houldcroft, Headteacher of Royal School Manchester at Seashell, said:
“The Variety minibus is a fantastic addition for Royal School Manchester here at Seashell. We often take children out on day trips, to local amenities like parks and horse riding and further afield, for example our longer inclusive activity breaks in the Lake District.
“All these activities mean our children can access a range of educational and fun activities and we simply wouldn’t be able to do this without an accessible minibus. We’re looking forward to many more adventures thanks to Variety and their generous donation.”

A huge thank you to WeFix London and Dr Michael Josephson MBE, who sponsored this coach and their generosity helps Variety continue delivering on our mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
