Jo Carter, CEO
Jo joined Variety in May 2019 and is responsible for developing and leading the organisation’s new strategy and change programmes. Jo’s impressive career to date includes senior roles leading fundraising and communications teams at NSPCC and Nordoff Robbins.

Dave King, Head of Programmes
Dave has led the programmes team at Variety since 2017, overseeing the delivery of activities which support children and young people who are disabled and facing financial deprivation. Dave’s background encompasses a range of roles in youth and community organisations, delivering engagement activities and managing complex projects.
Dave’s role at Variety requires detailed knowledge of the children and young people we support, and the challenges they face, so he is well placed to comment on issues relevant to them and their support needs.
Joel Voysey, Interim Head of Fundraising
Joel joined the team in November 2019, taking on responsibility for developing a new fundraising strategy including individual giving, events, trusts, corporate partnerships and legacies.
Joel has a wealth of fundraising experience and has led a number of successful teams to date. He is available to comment on a broad range of issues relating to income generation, supporter engagement and best practice.
Sadie Constable, Head of Marketing Communications
Sadie has been with Variety since January 2020 and has overall responsibility for developing the communications strategy and ensuring effective support for all strands of the charity’s work. Sadie has a broad communications background, with experience of leading communications teams at a range of charities varying in size and profile.
Sadie is available to comment on charity communications topics and issues relevant to Variety’s work with children and young people.
